Global Risk & Brand Protection safeguards the Deloitte brand across risk, privacy, cyber, regulatory, independence & conflicts, and anti‑corruption/financial crimes by providing guidance, facilitation and collaborative oversight across the network.
Key qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in independence, risk, quality or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of auditor independence requirements (SEC, PCAOB, IESBA) and related policies, tools and quality systems.
- Proven written and verbal English communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience in a global, multi‑time‑zone environment and/or professional services/public accounting.
- Familiarity with audit platforms, technology tools and data‑driven analysis.
- Proactive, self‑starting approach with the ability to drive projects independently.
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available in some locations.

How do you do this?
Deloitte Global is hiring a Manager for the Global Independence team (Global Risk & Brand Protection) — a high‑impact role advising on independence matters, driving compliance initiatives and delivering network‑wide projects.
Key responsibilities
- Lead global policy updates: project‑manage the process, draft amendments and socialize changes.
- Maintain independence tools and templates for PCAOB/ISA engagements and support updates to Omnia and Levvia to embed requirements.
- Advise firms on complex independence questions: analyze fact patterns, provide practical conclusions, and promote consistent application.
- Manage waivers and breach records: document, track and identify improvements.
- Coordinate cross‑border issue resolution with stakeholders to deliver clear, practical outcomes.
- Support strategic projects, deliver technical training, and drive knowledge‑sharing to strengthen independence awareness and compliance.
